And you just can't wait to drag that thing over some semi-wet gravel-y stuff, can ya? We're only going to see about 4 miles of that tomorrow, but it did rain last night, so we can expect a puddle or two
Pave d'Or? I think I'll stick with the regular blacktop, thank you. Our county roads department can almost afford to keep it in decent riding condition

No pics yet? Oh, the travails of living vicariously. Seriously, would enjoy seeing the photos.

Looks like a great ride, guys. Recognize a few spots from those pics.
I had to settle for 50-60 minutes on the '78 Raleigh Pro in the city here, but yesterday sure was beautiful riding weather in this part of the world!

It was a perfect day for a ride. Wish y'all could have been there with us. I don't think anyone had a clear idea of how far we rode - maybe 50-60 miles but it sure went by pretty quickly and didn't seem that far.

The most striking thing to me in Port Angeles this trip = the quiet paper mill.
No smoke from stacks, no noise of machinery, almost no cars.
Took 3 bikes and had 2 days, so I made 4 Ediz Hook runs, it was eerie.
No pics of logging trucks @ 55mph on Hwy112 ?!? You missed the exciting part.

We've had some good pics shared already. Here are a few of mine.
Here's what the rest of the group looked like as they waited for me to catch up five or six times throughout the ride. (Thanks for waiting guys!)
Our host capturing the perfect ice cream picture at Granny's.
My Sequoia and RiddeOfSteel's Miyata 1000 at one of the mandatory photo stops.
northbend's Northrup and droppedandlost's Shogun on the other side of the same bridge.
Tim's Peugeot
Andy A's Motobecane Grand Touring
Dean51's lovely Ron Cooper (this one's out of sequence, but you're mostly here to see the bikes, right?)
Another photo stop as we take a peek across the strait at Canada
Beautiful view from the Elwha River Bridge
Matt climbing down from his perch after taking one of his photo's seen above (I was too slow to get him casually enjoying the scenery.)

A pair of Colnago show bikes at the after-party
And finally, the post-ride feast at the "gastro pub"
It was a fantastic weekend, and I was very happy to have the chance to spend time with all those who were able to make it.
Many, many thanks to Tim for hosting us. This is truly a world class ride!

Many thanks to my fellow riders who took and posted photos. I'll add my appreciation for Tim who did a great job of organizing the ride. The beer back at the hotel could have been one the best ever....at least the best beer of this year!
All of the roads and scenes you have seen posted are right in my backyard. I ride them year 'round and feel very fortunate!

We did indeed have perfect weather; it's usually pretty nice on this weekend. I finally got a few pics off my phone:
@Andy_K descending fast on gravel (which it turns out was completely dry this year):
@Dean51 and @AndyAntipas, just like kids in a candy store:
Couple of Andys along that nice flat scenic stretch along Crescent Bay:
I was riding bike with a Mangalite frame, but Mark had Tangaloy! Advantage: Mark.
I'm thinking of updating my avatar to something radically different here; whataya think, guys?
After the ride: Beer, chips, sammitches and an elephant in the room - Mark's crazy cool Colnago, casually hanging out with the gang:
Don't ask Dean to define art, but he knows it when he sees it!
THANKS FOR COMING OUT FOR THIS RIDE, GENTLEMEN! Maybe we'll see some of you again next year, and perhaps a few new faces, too
