Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Portable bike pumps that fit in jersey.

Im looking to find a small light bike pump that fits in the back of my jersey. I already have a co2 pump and want a regular one that can easily get me up to 100 psi and is portable. Any suggestions would be great!

I carry a Lenzyne Pressure Drive Mini. Well made great little pump. You can mount to frame or carry in jersey pocket as I do.

I use the same, it works well but i don't think it can get you to 100 psi. Mainly use it to seat the tube before i use the c02. I wouldn't carry just this as a way to air up.

I also use mine only in conjunction with my CO2. Still a great little pump though.

Yeah it's a good little pump. It can get the job done well enough if it was the only source of air you have. Might be roadside for awhile pumping 50+ psi into the tube but it can be done.

I have the Topeak racerocket HP and have already used it a bunch of times (only once for myself).

Unlike most other minipumps, it simply worked. Fast and without any hassle. It is small and light enough to comfortably fit in a jersey pocket (top may stick out, though less than half an inch, not at all on some jerseys). And while there are smaller pumps, there are none that I have tried that are this small yet also this functional. It has an extending tube that attaches to the valve, which makes actually pumping the tire simple. There is none of the frustration that comes with all the other mini-pumps that I have seen and used over the years. With every motion forward and back, there is only a small amount of air pumped into the tire. Pumping is still fast enough, but this also enables you to get a decent pressure into the tire without it becoming impossible once you get over 80 Psi.

I am not exactly sure how much pressure I got in there when I used it, since I had not measured it. I just know it is a lot more than I could manage with my previous minipump. It had to be at least 100 Psi, otherwise I would have noticed it. On the topeak site it says it will inflate to 160 Psi or 11 bar, though I highly doubt that is actually possible.

https://www.topeak.com/products/Pumps/racerocket_hp_bk

Comes thoroughly recommended (without it, I'd be using CO2 cartridges). I have not used the Lenzyne Pressure Drive, but I think the two are very similar in design and functionality.

I have a Lezyne and a Topeak Race Rocket. The Race Rocket hose/chuck is better than the Lezyne, IMO.
