Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Here, this should help.

I'm sorry you got hurt (seriously).... Stuff like that always make you think just a little the next time you are faced with the situation.

BTW, I'm at work and the pictures aren't coming through....

In my line of work, I am a nurse in an Emergency Room, I see how alcohol impares all kinds of folks judgement. Have a little more, take a few more pictues and post them, you'll feel better....

Skylab, next time you decide to entertain the Road Forum with photos of your bad self in the dirty mirror, maybe you should either:

a. Clean the mirror first
b. Check with Mrs. Skylab
c. Install the filters and resist

It still aches on long descents, two years later. That was my Christmas Eve crash. Totally my fault.

You could have also argued that it "takes one to know one", but that would be downright witless, wouldn't it?

Mine does...in fact, I got a nice reminder from the director of IT about the fact that they read my emails. He told me to feel free to surf the 'net though, but to keep it clean.

City to Shore....

So that is why no one showed up for the group ride this morning! (Or maybe it was the rain scared them off)
