June 100+ mile goal thread 2015

Even though the first day of summer is not until the latter half of the month June is the first summer month. What are you planning to do on your bike this month? I should be around 700 miles again as I get ready for a one day STP ride in July.

Whatever your goal is enjoy the ride. Share it with us by posting here along with updates.

Set a stretch goal and then go after it.

Actual goal: 400 miles
Stretch goal: 600 miles (20miles/day)

Also, shooting for a solo, full imperial century by the end of the month. Anxious to see how it goes.

Last month my goal was to start cycling again. I got back on the bike and was able to ride 124 miles. For June my goal is a minimum 140 miles.

to stay on track, I would have to have around 170 miles, but since I was very slack through late winter and early spring.... I need to hit 370.

Goal is 200. Stretch goal is 250. May was 101, with 81 of that in the last week. I'm back at work now so weeknight rides will be time limited.

I achieved my last months 100 mile goal, did 104 miles. This months goal is 125 miles. Depending on weather (which this week looks like it will stink), I hope to stretch it to 150 miles.

I've been averaging over 500 miles/month for the last 6 months, but June I'll be lucky to get 300. will be out of the country for almost 2 weeks.

Good news is I've got a century on the 6th right before I leave!

First time setting a monthly distance goal. I'm going to go with 150 miles, with a stretch goal of 200.

I'm in for 150 miles with a 200 mile stretch goal. I will be gone for a week in Missouri, and while I wish I could take my bike, I'm not flying with it.

*Just started riding again in May. Did about 130mi in May, split between my fixed gear that I pulled out of storage mid month and then the new Cannondale I bought on the 23rd.

@Willbird just be yourself and keep the shrink going! You sir are inspiring folks to work for the weight loss! I think @IBOHUNT is training for CX although how he is going to do that and chase critters as well I am not sure.

Mark I find qualities in people that I would like to emulate :-). I used to be envious of your mileage and daily consistency, it made me work harder to get onto a similar plane :-). IBO has some good qualities too :-). I was just reading about track sprints in a Bicycling post on Facebook, the lady mentioned has huge quads, she says if you do a track sprint right you puke afterwards :-).

I am not(!) training for CX. I've done one training crit this year and then two ITT's; an 18K and then a 40K this past Saturday. Next ITT is on July 18th
Sept starts food gatherin' season, A half dozen of them deer woodland critters and the freezers will be full. I have a couple races on my schedule that come during hunting season. I am NOT(!) happy about that.

Not sure what those would be but if you get something out of my posts then it's a plus.
