The ulitmate cycling fitness challenge?
After just getting back from a ride I stood watching my own reflection in a mirror as I flexed my glistening quads (come on - you know you do it too) when it hit me; the ultimate cycling fitness challenge would be to have one of my quads bigger than my waist. I'm sure some steroid-fed pro bodybuilders have achieved this already, but that's a lot different than riding.
Cir (quad) > Cir (waist)
Are any other BF'rs already there? Pcad? Is it even possible?

I think you would find that that much muscle mass would actually be slower.
And do you really want to travel that much? Being in a freak show is a tough life.

Earl Campbells thighs were - if i recall correctly - 36". Never heard what his waist size was back in his playing days, but that was 4 inches bigger than my own waist.

Making a kilometer blurry
I can't gain quad girth without fat. They've been the same for 17 years. That includes this, my most successful racing season, and my weight lifting years a decade ago, when I was squatting 405 10x.
Even this year, my 5s power has risen from 1470W to 1651W. Peak power from 1520W to 1749W, and the legs are the same size.

With one of my quads bigger than my waist, it would really mess with my cadence.

No, I really don't think I would want quads as big as my waist. I think I would chafe.

Not really, but that's what makes this goal interesting. To have huge quads, you generally need a muscular build. The easy way around (having a very skinny waist) would give you a body type that's not amenable to building big quads. A bit of the ying and yang, push and pull.
God, I need a drink.

The day my quads are as big around as my waist is the day I need to go on a serious diet and walking program!!

Google Ronnie Coleman. He'll have what you're looking for. Too bad he weighs about 320 pounds and would break a bike in half (and if it didn't break, he'd be slower than a rock on it).

It just so happens that my wife bought a wii fit tonight. Just for the heck of it, I let it test my body. It said that I have a "wii fitness age" of 49 and that I'm out of shape even if says my weight is nearly perfect.
The good news is that it looks like I can improve my situation with wii fit in just a few weeks. And to think of all those years I've wasted cycling and working out just so I can be way below average...

Cir (quad) > Cir (waist)
Are any other BF'rs already there? Pcad? Is it even possible?

If it ain't happening for Tom Platz, it's probably not gonna happen.

Synthol.
Then you could be "The man who's legs exploded."
I doubt that the body would allow that to happen with out some synthetic help of some sort.
I've got no idea, but I'd think the size of the quads would have some correlation with the size of the core.
