Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Love King cage. Made in Colorado. Stainless if on a budget, Ti if a weight weenie. Classic looks and very functional.

That said, I think most BFers like the Tacx Tao, it's the CAAD of cages.

Elite cages are pretty popular, too.

Just put these Italian made Race One X1 cages on the Scatt'. Replaces the super light Blackburn Slicks, which looked great but unfortunately cracked on me after only 1 season. I like 'em - a little heavier than the Blackburns but look like they'll last awhile and hold my Specialized Purist bottles well.

Lezyne's Carbon Cages have been great by my reckoning; easy in/out, quiet, secure, elegant, durable, and the integrated holder for their Carbon Road Drive pump makes a pretty snazzy combo. They're plainly an indulgence at $35 a throw, but they're *totally* worth it!

Nah. That's okay. Water bottle cages are not worth the trouble. Cheapest, lightest, Chinese carbon ones that come up in an ebay search.

2x Elite Sior Mio, nothing special.

That said, I'm looking for cages that sit "lower" on the bolts i.e. the mounting holes are higher in the cage, and when mounted the bottle sits lower. Reason being my frame has a sloping TT and the vertical cage mounting holes are higher than ideal, thus PITA to insert and remove bottles.

+1. Ti to match Ti frame. It's a bit absurd to spend that much on a cage but I just had to have matching Ti cages.

I tried a pair of the super cheap super light not even attempted knock off eBay cages and my water bottles jumped out of them every time I even looked at a small pothole or raised crack in the road. After about the third time a bottle got dumped on one ride, I'd had enough.

That said, the Bontrager XXL cages probably knockoffs from alibaba worked just fine and only weighed about 16 grams apiece.
