Japanese home-market bike catalogs are a hoot, there are numerous bikes similar to that Sekine.
And, Campy even made an appropriate shifter forcawhile--the "Elefante."

I could see someone like from the movie 'The 40 year old Virgin' growing up and wanting this bike next to his Johnny Sokko collection. Lol

If that's a quote, I don't know the reference. I like riding in The Bronx more than I should. It's got enormous variety and even more of a reputation. I find a lot of vitality in the neighborhoods and parks. There's a good chance that I'll be riding to Orchard Beach and City Island tomorrow. It's a NYC version of a seaside fishing town.

Ha! Yes, though they might not have pronounced it in American English the same as this country-ass, Midwest boy.

Wearing a vest, a Homburg and properly copious facial hair, you'd be best in show.

I have an opportunity to buy this bike. It's being sold locally and seems to be in good condition. It's one of those bikes you think you want but you know you won't be able to get rid of after because it's so.... unique.
