Fuji Cross Geo

Hello, anyone have experience with Fuji's alloy cross bikes, specifically 2017 or newer? Looking at this bike for cx racing but the standover seems very high - I normally ride a 56 but the standover is about 35mm higher than my current bike.

Basically I'm wondering if the handling would be compromised by sizing down and running a 10 or so longer mm stem.

Tough to say for sure. If the effective top tube of the smaller frame is in the ballpark of what fits you it might be ok. I personally ride a ~56 and know I could ride a 58 but I like how a smaller frame feels for sure. What length stem do you use on your current bike?

EDIT: Yeah, the standover does seem a little high for their respective sizes. If you're running a 100mm or shorter stem currently I'd look at going a size smaller and bit longer stem.

EDIT 2: Eh, probably stay with a 55-56.

Some people like a taller frame, as they want to put their hand on the frame when mounting and dismounting. It also gives more room in the triangle for carrying (or backpacking for that matter).
