Damn....
I was banking on Sky and BMC riders to carry a bunch of points with the time trials.
I'm still looking forward to watching the race though.

ERVITI!!!!! Great minds think alike. Or is it "fools seldom differ?" I dunno. What we both do know for certain is that there was ZERO way you were going to finish ahead of me. In THIS race. All the other ones is seems occasionally possible.
I was still putzing around a bit, hadn't settled in on my other 2 Unclass dudes yet and was seriously pondering the GC/Wildcard dudes, but was probably going to run with Landa, Majka, Gaviria as my climbers and sprinter.
At the time of the legal wire brushing, I had the Shark and G in as GC placeholders and was pondering Ahlaphilippe or Bojangles as my joker, though was thinking about economizing my way elsewhere up to Nairo.

is someone suing for not getting a participation trophy? this bites.
had:
nibbles
thomas
zakarin
danny martin
gaviria
sagan (the good one)
hayman from michelton scott
i-something from movistar (4-pointer)
michael schur from bmc.
ps....you were all going to finish ahead of me. except slcbob.
some of the other fantasy sites are a stage by stage proposition which sounds like a real commitment to me. pick it and be done with it. a daily reminder is like a bill due which isn't my idear of a good time...

I just went to take a final look at my picks and saw the notice. What a bummer! I would tell you my picks but just in case he gets this resolved today...

unhappy. it'd be great if things miraculously clear up before the start or, at the very least, the vuelta. guess i'll be shopping around for another fantasy league to throw in here.
this one was relatively user-friendly and easy to use.

A little conjecture here. I scanned it earlier in the day, didn't see anything hugely insightful or insider fact based then, but I think the consensus there seems to be almost self-evident: ASO probably threw a cease & desist at Velogames, George doesn't have the resources to fight it or the risk tolerance to flaunt it, he'd probably win in court but the calculus doesn't make sense for him to go about finding out.

P.S. looking at the structure of the game that ASO has launched, if anything I'd say Velogames has a winnable IP lawsuit against them.

I feel dirty, but....
I've made a team here https://fantasy.letour.fr/#
And created a league, use the number to join:
CURRENT GROUP: BF ALLEZ VELOGAMES
League number: 4658
Competition: Tour de France
Besides feeling bad about the lack of loyalty, I feel pretty bad about my picks.

figures. the year the fantasy tdf gets cancelled, i had the top two finishers + two more guys in the top 14 on stage 1. *grumble." gaviria and quick step are the real deal. what a 12 months they've had. nice to see
g. thomas finish ahead of froomie. too bad the itt isn't till the penultimate stage. twere it in the first week, thomas could sink the dagger in for possibly another minute's advantage and put froomie even farther back. can't wait to see the intrasquad fireworks with team sky over the next 3 weeks.

^yes there is. it's gonna be mayhem. if it rains, double the fun. out of the big gc contenders, i feel nibbles, g thomas and valverde prob have the best chance of surviving/minimizing losses. that day is gonna be the equivalent of a big mountain stage before they even hit the big mountains.

It's like Froome, Porte and Quintana just spotted a little under a minute to several of the other GC riders, including Dan Martin, Uran Uran, Nibali, Dumoulin, etc. It IS interesting that G. Thomas, TJ, Valverde, are now in better positions than their team captains...but I doubt it changes the strategy on any of the teams after only one stage. If any of the leaders lose any more time, then it might cause a shift in strategy.

super slight uphill finish. picking gaviria for stage two but thinking it might be a little closer this time w/classics style sprinters such as sagan, kristoff and matthews.

Tsgabu Drmay (Trek) first to abandon in 2018. Very strange, he looked fine getting into the car.
