Bike Computers - TDF
I was perusing a TDF tech photo gallery where I noticed some bikes with Garmin computers and started wondering. Are there rules regarding the capabilities of the computers? For example are they allowed to receive text messages? What about the degree of communication to/from the rider and team like incident detection and GPS tracking? Do all the riders/teams use bike computers? What brand/model? What data screen do riders find most useful?

Livetracking and text notifications depend on having your phone paired to your computer. I doubt any of them are riding with their phones in their jersey pockets because these are people to who that extra 150 grams actually matters.
