Need help finding the right sub $300 bike for someon 350 lbs
I've ridden off and on through life. Stopped in 2014 due to a bad bike flip and break of my right arm (plate and 7 screws - loooong recovery). Now that my weight has gotten way out of control (350) and I need to get moving again. Catch is now that I weigh this much I have no idea what type of bike to get and don't have a ton of disposable income.
Here are the details (I'll add more if asked):
Here are the details (I'll add more if asked):
- I'm 6'2" and 350 lbs
- It will mostly be for city but I'd like some offroad
- Price would be best under $300
- Is there anything new you can recommend?
- Is there anything I should start watching for on Craigslist?

Grab a used Fat Bike. They are beefy, and the big wheels are slow, but fun. Feels like a tank.

Used Kona Hoss and maybe change the tyres.
I've upgraded mine for road and light trail use. Ditched the suspension, fitted skinny tyres and changed the pedals.
Need to fit mudguards to hide that ugly gap at the fork.
The skinny tyres shown in the pic make the bike a bit too twitchy, so I'll be changing them to something a bit wider.
