So it looks like I will be leaving my security blanket of Japan and heading to Maryland, somewheres between Baltimore and DC :-/ Anyone from around there? Should I start another life insurance policy on myself?

Actually, it would have been a simple RD replacement, but the guy at the shop rebuilt the RD trying to save me money. It didn't work so great, within a week the chain jumped off the jockey wheel and wrapped the RD around the cassette again, this time cracking the frame. Fuji was nice and gave me a deep discounted frame that was better than the original, but negotiations took over a month and in that time, I got pissed off and went out and bought a new cannondale.

Oof that sucks. I had a buddy who had the same thing happen to him during a climb. We heard a strained "woah" during a climb and at the top we noticed he was standing at the bottom seemingly okay. It was until we came closer that he had gashed himself against his big ring. His white sidis were never the same again.

I'm not sure if "lil" would be the proper adjective...still, he was one of the good ones. I enjoyed everything I've ever seen of his.

Went on a 40 miler with the roommate/his GF out to the summertime beach, makes me want summer back so bad. Pace was a bit slower than I'd like but it was a beautiful day.

Work. I am visiting a client here, the paper mill.

It is snowing this morning, so not a very auspicious beginning.
