I buy lots of spokes from dans and all of them have been longer than 190mm.
Call their number, they're awesome.

CX Rays are very literally flattened Lasers.

If you want cheap blades buy some Mac or Pillar for a buck a peice. I've been happy with them.

I stand corrected. I was just going off what I was told by our spoke supplier not long ago.

Dan's is definitely a great shop. I used to buy stuff from them all the time before getting into all this fixed gear nonsense.

Eh his analogy is off.

It's more like saying charcoal is just compressed carbon. Which it is.

Cause CX Rays are just Lasers.

Not if you accept they're for fashion.

They go hand in hand with fixies.

Actually, bladed spokes have a significant impact on reducing wind drag. But, you have to be going over 20 mph to really notice the difference.

Wheels are round, tires are round, frame tubes are round, tubes are round, stems are round, seat posts are round, bearings are round, handlebars are round, bells are round, axles are round, bottom brackets are round, head sets are round, chain rings are round...................

Flat spokes are for alien sushi,, not bikes.

The only way to significantly reduced drag by spokes is to have fewer of them.

5 spokes means it's 4x more aerodynamic than a 20h wheel, right? Combine that with the mad street cred, and they're invincible!

This.

I especially like it when customers come in to have me build wheels for them and they need bladed spokes, even though they're rocking 90cm wide riser bars and ride wearing a gigantic 25 lb backpack full of bull**** 99.9% or the time.

But you need wide ass risers, and a bag filled with stuff. You cannot ride without it.
