I'd be bummed if you made me hang out next to the empty pet bowls while you took crappy pics of me.

Here's my newly built (today) Wabi Classic. Had Scrod build it up for me as I watched and learned the art. He also taught me which bike tools make the best weapons. Very useful information for everyday life. Thanks again Scrod for all the help today!

Photos don't show it's real beauty. Just quick snaps from my phone. The bike looks like it's a different color in each one. I'll whip out the Cannon someday soon to get PedalRoom worthy pics. Until then, these should do.

Nice build, classy. On my screen, i like the middle color best.

That looks like a fairly large frame, what size is it?

Thanks Tejano and rex! And rex, its a 58cm. I'm 6'2".

Scrod- I appreciate the kind words. I had fun chillin in the shop too. I also realized how much of a nightmare it would have been if I tried to build it up myself. I was missing so many tools. Also, glad we got the crankset worked out. The S300's still look great with this build.

You'd be so lucky pal

She's there ready to get cleaned down, then she goes into my bedroom and hangs up on the wall....just like most of my friends, funnily enough...

No chris king headset, no modern frame, no thomson seatpost. It's still my favorite bike, my only bike. That first pedal stroke in the morning, every morning ..

Correct me if I'm wrong, aren't the rb002 a 26.0 clamp? If so where'd you come up with a Thomson stem?

Looks good.

You are correct. Thomson used to make 26mm stems. Just searched on eBay and found one of these older ones. They shouldn't be too hard to find. Got it at a real good price too and it looked new.

And thanks, I love your wabi too as you already know. Did you have problems putting omniums on your frame. I had omniums first but the crank arms were way too close to the chainstay. We put spacers in but it was still too close and the cranks wouldn't completely tighten. I'm fine with the S300's, but I'm curious as to why the omniums wouldn't work.

No, i didn't have any issues with the omniums that i recall. Ill go look tomorrow, but i dont think i used any spacers on the bb. Perhaps its a frame size issue? Mine is a 58 i think. What's yours?

Taken this morning - ready to head out in about 45 minutes or so. 22° and clear here, so it should be fast.
