My Dad passed away this morning...

My Dad passed away this morning.

He was battling the Covid 19 virus.

He had turned 89 a week ago.

He taught me how to ride a bike, thus inspiring a life-long passion.

He will be missed.

Que te vaya bien Papi.

Mom (who passed away 11 years ago) and Dad together in better times.

So sorry to hear that eja.. .89 is a good run, but it has to hurt knowing the CV-19 probably took him before what would have been "his time" under normal circumstances.

Sorry to hear. Lost my dad 10 years ago. Hit me in a way I did not expect. We had just started really communicating as adults, only about 5 years before he passed away. He was only 76.

Sorry to hear about that eja bottecchia. 89 is a great run. I'm sure he led a great life.

My dad passed away two years ago this month at age 82 due to multiple medical conditions catching up with him. He had a great life, too.

I am sorry to hear the news. My father passed away 2 years ago. I still have his old bike and ride it from time to time. Right now this is tough but over time the good memories will help sustain you.

All my condolences. It’s hard to know that CV was a factor as it’s a reminder how vulnerable older people are. We know their day is coming and can only hope for a passing from plain old age. Its not to be in these times, sadly.

I lost my dad 10 years ago, It was time and not unexpected. I still think of him a lot.

Take the time to grieve him. My siblings asked me to lead off the testimonies at his service. It was an honor. Shared of the last sail I did with him. A week later I spent the weekend at a convention. They had a "talent show". I got up and played the blues for my dad. Closed my eyes and poured my heart into it. Oblivious to the audience. And truly cleansing.
