growing spirulina

ok you can roast me a little on this one , but doesn't anyone have any info or starting point to growing free spirulina in a fish tank or home made pond , i mean its algae right , i really dont see myself spending hundreds of dollars for some pond scum , but i do want to add it to my basic diet to see if i feel any changes , some people say its great , others say meh !!!

A lb of spriulina powder is like 15 bucks if you want it from China, 25 bucks from more famous brands, and 35-40 bucks from Hawaii.

A lb of spirulina lasts a very long time (usually 3-4 months for me).

Not sure how you'd be spending hundreds of dollars.

Unless you're buying ENERGYbits, I'd wager it's far more cost-effective to just buy the ready-to-use stuff. Especially if you don't yet know if you're planning to take it long-term.

I imagine you'd get more information using google than asking people here.

I would stay away from any food products from China. spend more and worry less.

China was the place where someone was rendering fat from sewage and selling it to the food industry. Very old news and I believe the person committed suicide when found out.

this is just "normal" over there. it is not my intent to bash, just to warn or bring awareness.

I don't think I'm overly concerned about China or any other Asian country in regard to food contamination. Those that create and make food products as their love and vocation I think are trustworthy enough to ensure purity. However those that make food products and only think about money and are willing to undersell at rock bottom prices have to be suspect. And probably doesn't matter the country they are from but it seems inspection and enforcement has been lacking in Asian countries even though they export much product.

Run away from him or her as fast as you can... and don't even look back lest you get infected with the vegan disease...go to your local grocery store and buy yourself a nice salad instead of wasting money on some magic powder.

come on seriously , a lot of people use spiralina , and the first time i heard of it was watching his youtube videos , he wasn't selling the powder version he was selling a fresh frozen pod version , i dont think a salad can deliver the benefits of this stuff , its t least 85% legit dietary supplement that will give you a huge nutritional boost and is worth checking out !
