Great price on cargo trailer...

I'm not associated with nashbar in anyway, but I thought I'd pass this along.

Nashbar Cargo Trailer - 79.99
https://www.nashbar.com/bikes/Product...1_10000_202113

I just ordered mine, was less than $100 shipped with the OUTMAR code. I'll have to post up with thoughts once it arrives.

Just keep in mind that this trailer is rated only at 35lbs versus Yak that's 70lbs. You can carry 35lbs on a decent rear rack.

I've been eyeballing the Croozer trailer there.

I saw that, however at 1/3 the price of the Yak for 1/2 the capacity, it should do what I need it to.

Between this and the Jannd rear rack on my actionbent, I'm hoping to have enough capacity for grocery runs and mild touring.

I had looked at this trailer somewhat before I settled on a Carry Freedom Large Y frame trailer. Very similar style except flat deck instead covering. Just suited my needs better, and max load 200lbs, 18lbs empty.

I hope that it serves you well. When I was interested in purchasing a trailer, I did a search on this site and others to find quite a few complaints were made about the Nashbar trailer. With the ascertained information, I bit the bullet and bought a Yak. It was a bit more but the darn thing is sturdy and has held up well for the abuse I have put it through.

Could be useful in combo with a rear rack. The Jandd rear rack can carry 75lbs easily. Put heavy stuff in panniers and lightweight bulky items, toilet paper, bread, chips in the trailer; touring, sleeping bag, clothing.

Keep us posted

Corksscrew-

I make the little Red Trailer (www.redbiketrailer.com) so I consider the Nashbar a competitor that lives close to my price point. I've been curious about it for a while but I've never seen one up close. I did read a lot of comments about welds failing but that was awhile ago and perhaps they've addressed that by now. I'd very interested in your experience with it.

That's actually pretty close to my line of thinking on this one.

@dayworks - when it arrives, and doesn't implode right off the bat, I'll be sure to report back.
