Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Official Wilier Thread

I didn't see a thread for Wilier Bikes, so, I figured I'd start one. Need to get the love out there for these amazing bikes and see who else out there has one. So, if you've got a Wilier, let's see it!

I'll start. This is my 2016 Wilier Cento1 SR. It's a 'retired' race bike from the UHC Pro Cycling Team. Fantastic bike, stiff, light, handles like a champ.

Definitely a lot of love here for Wilier, for all the reasons you cited, among other things. This one is a fantastic climber. 0.6, 2016.

Yes, all Campy (Shamal Mille wheelset; Super Record).

These are truly wonderful bikes and I've always wondered why they don't get more attention on this forum. Thanks for starting the thread!

I've seen one maybe two Wilier's out in the wild in my city, no bike shops here carry them. The closest dealer is actually up in Canada

Seems like a shame to go a whole year without something in this thread, so here's mine:

It's a 2017 Jareen, repurposed from gravel to commuter. The awful Kenda Happy Mediums were replaced with Schwalbe Marathon Supremes, new bars, stem, rack, lights, still needs the rear fender. It probably makes the Wilier purists kind of gag, but it's a loveable little red-headed stepchild.

Happy New Year!

This can't possibly be any sort of official thread while the OP has a photo of a bike from the wrong side...

2015 GTR
2015 GTR SRAM Force, black White hubs laced to Hed C2 rims, Syntace Racelite bars, Selle San Marco Aspide saddle, Look pedals.
GTR wasn't marketed inna USA. The headtube be shorter; hence the geometry is almost same as my Cervelo S2; I have long arms for m'height.
Thanks to Andrea Bellati (Bellatisport) for great service an' decent deal onna frame, Eurosport for th' groupset, unnamed for assembling the wheelset (the front still rolls ok, the rear weren't built right - now it is), Arts Cyclery (now mostly mountain, an' out o' the online retail biz, looks like), Ribble and a few other retailers for bits an' pieces here and there.

Looking for an all day/fondo/edurance type bike, many had long head tubes; the GTR fit.
It's been a great bike!

...was going to wait on next bar tape, meh, nah. This is how it rolls, weekly cleaning only (the drivetrain be fastidiously maintained...), always lights, "too many" rubber bands.

Picked up my first Wilier for Christmas 2018. Found this one at a local consignment bike shop and couldn't pass on the deal. I was able to trade in my previous Diamondback roadie plus cash for this 2010 Izoard Ultegra.

Another NDS photo! what is it with Wilier owners? LOL I count 3 of 11! almost 30% of the bike photos posted here, (counting the group shot from the show)

Maybe that's as it should be.. a NDS photo shows more of the bike and less of non-related 3rd party componentry which just gets in the way.

i didn't even think about it when i took it... hahaha...

maybe i subconsciously figured all Ultegra groupsets look alike, but, honestly I think i was too lazy to turn it around as my garage is off to the right from where i wheeled it out from and i just wanted to park it and snap a quick pic....

Bought this 2014 Zero.9 last summer. It had Ultegra on it, moved that and the stock wheelset to a Klein frame I bought for my son's birthday, bought a Campagnolo groupset (low-end Centaur, but Campy) and put it on the Wilier, along with the Williams wheelset I had on my old Orbea (the "W"s go together ). This was a first for me, changing groupsets. Both bikes actually work, a miracle. Also my first carbon frame, so far I love it.
it.
