Interesting JP Weigle framset in Portland ME--note the track dropouts with derailleur hanger! Love that fork crown too.

*** CAMPAGNOLO VINTAGE COLLECTIBLES ***
My Campy stash from the past is finally going on the chopping block.
All items are authentic Campagnolo items I collected in the 70s.
These are not reproductions!
All items were acquired first hand when I was in the bike industry.
I worked for one of the original Campy importer/distributors (CDI) in Dallas in the 1970s.
This is only partial list and will sell other items as time permits.

Or perhaps a 750; a Reynolds tubing decal often confuses Americans into thinking it refers to Reynolds aluminum rather than British Reynolds steel. Cinelli fork crown, Campagnolo 1010B dropouts and over-the-bottom bracket cable routing suggests early 1980s production.

bicycle frame material: steel
bicycle type: hybrid/comfort
frame size: 22" c to c
wheel size: 650C I believe this is a 1970 era original H40 or PE40. Three speed town bike by Peugeot. Bike has been garage kept for years and is in need of a restoration. Beautiful lugged steel frame. Paint has damage on the top tube from being leaned against things and also spots on the fork. Light surface rust on rims and cranks. Fenders are in good shape but have a few dings. Needs tires/tubes, chain, and cables.

While cycling in Holland back in '74 on a Batavus I'd bought in Amsterdam, a fellow told me that the character was from ancient legend, similar to Beowulf. Batavia is the Latin name for the Low Countries; it's what the Romans called the area, and our hero was probably a member of one of the Germanic tribes. As for the lions, the Leo Belgicus depicted below is a cartographic and heraldic representation of the area.

eeegads! Looks like the rider used a brick wall or a parked car for a front brake. No offense, but what's scrap steel selling for these days?
