N+6 (almost 9)
So that was an interesting couple of days. I needed to see my Aunt in hospital, and had been talking to an ex-bikeshop owner about his collection. Yesterday I picked up 9 bikes from him.
3 already have homes to go to, so I have to sort out what I'm doing with the other 6. There are some interesting bikes in the 6. I'll update the thread as I sort them out.

One of the more interesting bikes in the haul. A bit of research says it's the same as an Aegis Aero, which I've also never heard of... Most interesting snippet I've found so far is that Didier Louis took over B Carré's workshops in Paris!

Aegis was an early US monocoque carbon fiber pioneer. I believe a split led to Kestrel as well. Probably licensed their bikes to a lot of brands.

So I'm now down to 5. This little hand built beauty has found a home with my 'not-quite-niece'. 9 years old, built like 2 bits of spaghetti side by side, and loves cycling. Does 40km rides quite happily, and on a 1970s 3 speed Peugeot. She deserves it...

A friend of mine from way back when I worked in a bike shop runs his own suspension tuning and general bike guru shop after working as MD (UK) for a bike company. Told him about them, and he said he was interested in one of the MTBs: Behold the original Manitou Full suspension rig!

The other MTB. Most of us (as we are after all the C&V crowd) will remember high-stay frames. Saracen, and AlpineStars come to mind. This Alpinestars is apparently pretty rare. Titanium, rigid, and built for world champion trials rider Gilles Burgat according to the seller.

The seller told me that it was part of a batch with the Donnay decals that were given away to sponsored sportspeople like Agassi. I've messaged Peugeot bikes to see if they have any details.

That's a really cool Peugeot. One of my grail bikes is the PY10FC. Any idea on the date of this - I would suspect 90's just based on the decals.

Spotted the Mani atb on the bike rack. Recall back when and a friend having one. He was big fellow (260+ lbs) and liked the elastomer susp. vs air / oil. I think it had Answer product labels, stem, bars too.
The carbon Pug is another neato. Caveat aluminum head lugs for fractures.
