Hello, While I created my account a year ago I am only just now getting to try and fully utilize this great resource. I've always enjoyed riding bikes growing up, turning into riding dirt bikes, and now back to the more suburban-suited passion of cycling. Having received mostly mountain bikes during this time, riding my buddies 80's Cannondale road bike on occasion was intoxicating.
I recently bought an '85 Schwinn Peloton and I see why people are addicted to vintage steel. They ride nice and have much cleaner lines imo. I'm certainly hooked..
I have attempted the C&O Canal on two occasions; but haven't been on the proper bike which is why I'm here to learn about building my own. Looking forward to getting to know some of you and the lay of the land here. Let's see!

Welcome. You’ll see all kinds of bikes on the C&O. Your Schwinn Pelothon works, especially if you have wider tires (25 minimum) and keep the inflation down. Mountain bikes are great
