Scored a limited edition red Carradice Bingley from Carradice's factory second eBay store!

Since I mostly needed a bag to hold a chain lock and I also ordered a Tourbon saddle bag, which is slightly bigger, I'll save it for another bike.

I traded a few things to a friend of mine (who happens to be a machinist), in exchange for him making me a "real" pin wrench to service Mavic hubs, as well as a press plate for supporting the hub when pressing the bearings in or out.
After a little bit of contemplating how to get the threaded piece out without the hub being laced to a wheel, I figured it out and the wrench worked extremely well, and the piece unthreaded very easily.

I twice got packages mis-sent to me this weekend. The two guys I bought from sent my stuff elsewhere and I got more expensive items.

No, I didn't keep them...weird that I have never had that happen and it happens twice.

I have those bars on an old Trek, they are wonderful. Where did you purchase all the Nitto stuff?

Both Nitto items came off Ebay for a small discount over retail. I like to go stock when I can but I need wider bars and a higher stem than most vintage bikes offer.

A set of black Kool Stop pads for the Colnago arrived today. No pics, I think we all know what aftermarket replacement pads look like.

This arrived yesterday, thanks malcala!

installed last evening.

I had the same problem. Works awesome on my bike, very comfortable. I need things high and a little bit closer than most.

Those things are lovely. Fond memories of my undergrad campus bike, a Pug Orient Express. When I sold it, I kept those, and I still have them.

Had a smooth trade with Spaghetti Legs for an aluminum Campagnolo brake pad holder. He had the side I needed, I had the side he needed. While I was out on a ride, the postman delivered the package, so when I got home I immediately opened it, put a pad in, and mocked it up in the caliper. Thanks SL!!!!!!!!

Technically it came to the LBS but it was meant for me.

2 20” 451 rims to swap for the chrome ones on my 79 Raleigh Twenty.

Not bike related but I finally got my Passport back from sending for renewal. The USPS delayed screwed up delivery and it was like two days late.

It's been like Christmas in July (but in June) around these parts. @hazetguy's Dura-Ace 7400 bits arrived via USPS a couple days ago.

Yesterday, I got a few screws and nuts from McMaster Carr.

Yesterday, I stopped to get milk on my way home from work. At the Play It Again Sports next door was a Motobecane Grand Jubilé. I didn't look too closely, but noticed Huret Jubilee rear derailleur, TA cranks and a Brooks Pro saddle. I called and had them hold it, then went back after work today to grab it. It turns out to also have a Jubilee front derailleur and shifters, and the rear is a long cage version. Oh, and it's my size.

Strangely though, it has half-step chainrings and a 13-17 freewheel. Not sure I've seen that combination before. Fortunately, I only had to ride a few very flat blocks home.

(Edit: Dunno if it's Firefox or BF, but I needed to horse around with the post after someone messed it up.)

BB for the 92 Allez Sport I am refurbing. The original spins fine but I will keep it and put in a new one so the next owner won't have to worry about it for a while.
