RaceDayWheels.com

Hey All,

I was poking around on the net, and came across this site, racedaywheels.com that rent's race wheels for weekends. I was wondering if anyone here has ever used them, and if so, what are your thoughts on them? Obviously I'd much rather buy a set, but at 140 for a weekend versus 1000 - 1500 for a set, its a hard sell to my empty wallet to spend that much more. And yes, I know, work on the engine, etc. etc., that's not my question :-P

Thanks so much,

Paul

I've never used racedaywheels.com but I've seen great reviews of their service and how easy it is. I think it's a great idea for someone who is training for one big race, whether it be their first olympic, half-iron or iron distance race. If you plan on racing 10 times this year though, tracking down some good used wheels isn't a terrible idea.

Yeah, the race I'd be renting them for is my A race... for all the other's, i'm ok using my Bonti RaceLite's. I just was curious as to what condition people have received the wheels in, etc. I would love to try out a pair of Hed3's, but can't really foot the 800 - 1500 dollar bill i'm seeing on ebay / new. Could you PM me with info about where you saw the reviews, if you remember off hand? Thanks!
