I rode one mile to the main area of town to watch the 233 edition of Bristol's parade. They are allowing many stupid entries in the parade that slow it down. I enjoy the historic aspect such as the numerous militias from revolutionary or civil war times such as The Rhode Island Train of Artillery, The Cranston Rifles, The Kentish Rifles from Kent , Connecticut, fife and drum corps, all in period costume. I also like the marching bands which come from all over the country. I've yet to find a decent video to link to so I won't. Visitors clog traffic and parking areas. The best, almost only way, to get around is by bike and I'm happy to say they number in the thousands.
