Do you work out when you've got a cold?
Hello,
I have a cold, but I still feel like running
Do you ever work out when you're sick? if not, how long do you usually wait?
I usually just ignore it and go out on the trails, but will it prolong my cold or does it help.
Thanks
Sanjay

conventional wisdom says you can train (but take it easy) with a cold in your head, but don't train if it's in your lungs. makes sense. don't work out if your breathing will be affected by infection

If it's a head cold and you feel like training, go easy. If it's in your chest/lungs, don't mess with it. Concentrate on getting well. Taking a four or five days off won't kill you.

neck up colds -keep training, but not at the same intensity
chest cold -unless you really want pnemonia, skip it. Not an urban legend as I know people who have made this mistake.
