Can you supply me information on trike conversion kits please?

Greetings fellow Utility cyclists,

I do hope that you guys are not getting fed up with me asking about information regarding products that are available in the US and Canada, but are not here in the UK and Europe. ... ... there maybe several other similar questions over the coming weeks and months.

I am looking for the contact details of the Manufacturers and not the retailers (google/alibaba/bing et al searches throw up the contact details of the retailers but not the manufacturers).

I currently require the contact details of manufacturers who make upright delta tricycle conversion kits for converting bicycles into tricycles similar to this one:

I am aware of these Internet retailers (and a few others):

https://www.choppersus.com/store/prod...vy-Duty-BLACK/

https://www.bicycledesigner.com/defau...e%3Dframe-kits

As I am looking to purchase and import kits in quantities of ten, buying at retail for me to stock is not a viable option I need the contact details of the manufacturers so that a may deal directly with them.

Many thanks in advance for any help that you give me.

Here's a site you could literally get lost in for weeks. Might find something there.

I had no idea such kits existed (not that it helps the OP in any way)! Kind of like Xtracycle extension

A magician has ordered two big Dummy style trikes from me. It's a bit of an exciting project as the body work is going to be like an old wild west medicine/snake oil show. With doors opening, things sliding out, dropping down, lifting up, extending out, etc. I have had a few enquiries from senior citizens wanting to convert their existing bicycles to tricycles.

I also own an AS engineering S-32 Zenit L front wheel drive tadpole trike; https://mairas.net/recumbents/S327/ and I would very much like to try and convert it to a 4WD pedal powered quad for no other reason than I can.

Wow! I hope we'll see some pictures of that! That's pretty cool. I would totally get my mom a trike, the problem is that the immediate neighborhood is not bike friendly: narrow streets, lost of short hills and curves with limited sight distance.

A little bit I know

Gareth - I hate to tell you but you may not get a lot of love from Manufacturers with quantities of 10. When I was researching buying wheels direct from factories for my little red trailer the smallest quantity they would talk about was 100 and more often it's 500. You may have better luck with a wholesale distributer like Quality Bike Parts (here in the US as an example) I was ultimately able to get a discount from the retail source for the wheels I was using - It may be worth asking.

Try Sun / Husky Bikes. That trike axle looks like one of theirs, and I know it is used on several other brands as well, including some nifty 6 to 9 speeds in England.

Nice coaster brake set up you have there. A 3 speed coaster brake set up is available for that rear end as well.

Hi Gareth,

I know this thread is a little bit old now but I was wondering if you got any further along with your TRIKE Conversion Kits?

Regards
Tom

Intrigued by the trike kits that use 2 wheels linked together Up front.
seen a British company made a conversion front end, but don't recall who.
any one else , over there?

bigger carry basket, between the 2 front wheels,
and you still have a simple drivetrain, drive wheel in the center.

with just the right wheel driven As on most trikes
it makes a difference whether turning right or left.

LBS here has the trikes with 1 rear drive wheel ,
they use a whole different way of connecting the frame
and the rear end, with double sets of adjusting slot bolts.
for tensioning 2 separate chain loops .
better to just buy one out of the Box , change the chainring sizes.
some come with a 3 speed in a counter shaft..
the hub shell with another sprocket instead of spokes
drives the rear axle , the cranks drive the hub regular end cog ..

back in the early 60's my friends dad made that kind of hub,
for his kid's 3 speed bike
the shell cog drove another 3 speed in the back wheel.
3 by 3 speed.

I scrounged up for a triple cog set that replaced
the 1 cog on S/A hub and did a triple crankset, and f&r derailleurs.
3 cubed, or '27 speeds'.. I think JFK was still breathing then.
