Please Recommend a general utility trailer

I have this MTB with quick release tires. Could someone recommend a trailer for it? I'd be using it for runs to the recycling center and grocery mostly. Also, how do you attach trailers to the bike? Thanks.

I am really liking my Avenir cargo trailer. It comes with a chain stay clamp style hitch which I replaced with a Michelin Avenir axle mount hitch. It is made of aluminum tubing with additional cross supports to support the floor, 20" wheels, removable canvas liner and weighs in right at 20 pounds.

I built this trailer using simple hand tools in the 80's and still use it today. I made one change and that was to make the frame and tongue from oak.

i received a Burley Flatbed as a gift and it's great.. very light, and the hitch system is super easy. you install a hitch thru the axle of your rear wheel, and then the trailer connects to the hitch in like 5 seconds. downside is it's expensive

Being Modular, Bikes at Work trailers can be 6 foot long , or shorter..
and will carry many plastic carrier bins. stacked , also.
a buddy carries his 88 key stage keyboard to Gigs with His.

I have a Late CoOp made Burly flat bed, with 406 20" wheels,
Hubs, standard, front QR so pop off & tongue folds down, to stow in the closet.

2 wheel trailers tend to attach to the left rear axle end, so that is the trailer centerline
to the left of the bike centerline.

Thanks for all of the suggestions.
Has anyone heard of Wandertec trailers? They look pretty well made and designed: https://www.biketrailershop.com/wande...ers-c-284.html

I have a cargo trailer made by (or at least for) Aosom. They've recently updated it to a slightly newer model which looks really nice, and it's priced right.

https://www.aosom.com/d-2058/New-Blac...o-Trailer.html

It looks to be just about as sturdy, though mine has a solid metal bottom, rather than plastic, and mine holds 180lbs rather than 110.

That Aosom looks nice. Is it easy to attach to the bike? How is it done?

If you look at the pics, you'll see one of the coupler. If you look at this Amazon item, it's the exact same coupler: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...ls_o06_s00_i00

Attach the angled metal bracket to your quick release/rear axle nut, then slide the trailer part over it and insert the d-pin. It takes less than 5 seconds to attach and unattach the trailer.

Note: Do NOT attach it like the picture on Amazon! Always attach it with the quick-release lever on the DRIVE SIDE of the bike. Putting the quick release lever on the same side as the trailer will cause it to loosen up and possibly drop the trailer and your rear wheel.

I have this one and am very pleased with it:

Thank you. I asked the company if they sell spare tires and tubes, and they said no. Can they be bought elsewhere?

If you look around you may even find a new kiddie trailer cheap-I bought this one brand new on sale at Wally-Mart for $45 with tax a while back, like Bugly, used before converting my Trek to Xtracycle (I may yet use it WITH the Xtracycle too, assuming my legs dont' go on strike when I bring the subject up,LOL! )

Bought a Burley flatbed, as well, it was on sale at Bike Shop Hub. I would have liked the wheels to be 20" the same size as my front wheels, so I wouldn't have to carry a 16" spare tube along with the 20" and 26" spare tubes, but really, I'm not complaining. It's a great little trailer.

Can they (Easy Peasy's tires) be bought elsewhere?
read the size numbers off the side of the tire, and stop by a bike shop.
