My Fuji S-10S bought new in Oct '77 is (because I STILL ride it!) a '75 model, built in Sept '74.

So, do I call my music '74 or '75??? Hmmm.... My favorite song from '74 is Barry White & Love Unlimited Orchestra 'Love's Theme'

I'll never have a bike for 1980.

But have been revisiting my love of this band. Favorite female vocalist, bar none.
And she has been since I first heard them.

OK, I'll do Fall of 1955, My Sophomore year in HS: Still had my Raleigh Sports. Sadly, it stood in our garage neglected & unridden. Can't find any pics, but by then it looked something like this pic I found on CL.

My time was spent with H.S. athletics, girls and working to get a car. Kids had parties Where we would bring a few records, 45's or 78's. We'd play music, eat & dance & talk. Good fun. One night, somebody brought this one

Early Elvis. Got played over & over, then we played the other side. Don

1973 Gran Sport. I grew up in Michigan, outside Detroit. It's a British bike. Is it even a choice?

1994 “Black Light”- From Material - Hallucination Engine. Epic, exotic jazz funk!

Riding my late 80’s utility road bike east to west then back on the budget Saint Tropez. The song parallels the long rides that would take place.

1970 - I didn't come to appreciate either that follows until a few years later:

The model came out in 1969, but this frame was not made until 1970.

In sort of a parallel, the Album came out in 1969, but the single didn't hit the charts until 1970.

1977/1978 Jean-Luc Ponty’s album Enigmatic Ocean with the epic Ralphe Armstrong electric bass playing on “Struggle of the Turtle to the Sea” ...

As great as that recording is, this one has the original bass solo in “Part III” w/ Ralphe Armstrong on bass:

Late 1970’s Masi Gran Criterium, size 57!

I don't remember if it was before or after I got this that I got in trouble for buying "Get The Knack." I had to take it back.

No picture necessary. For any of it.

I always respected the punk scene, it just wasn't my scene. Do you know/like Ted Leo, though?
