Critique my fit

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Critique my fit

I've been riding for a few years now and I just did my first marathon mountain bike race, but my back started hurting about half way through. Wondering if fit might be the problem.

Any opinions?

Your neck is too far forward. And your left shoe is too loose. That is the cause of your problem.

^ This. Rear suspension is a big help.

Most likely the fit is just fine. Mtn biking works your lower back more than road biking. No big deal for short rides, but the aches start after a couple hours I'll bet. I did a 24 hour race and was feeling fine the first 6 hours or so. After that the pain set in. I was in absolute misery the last lap. It's just fatigue.

Solution: MUCH more core and lower back strengthening.

I'm sure the lack of rear suspension is much more of an issue than your fit.

Knobs on the tires make it slow. It's not like a road tire.

He's making fun of the 41, in particular the people who think they can get a fit over the Internets. For free. And not wind up crippled like an old man.

And those photos don't look like Houston - not enough oil companies or bad professional sports teams in the background.

Fit looks good but you look too weak and small to be fast.

Seat needs to be 2.46mm forward.
Right foot cleat needs a single wedge under it and left cleat needs to go back 1.8mm.
I think you also need 160mm cranks, but its hard to tell exactly from your pictures.
You need carbon rims, just because.

Carbon rims explode on mountain bikes the moment you put them on.

Only fit comment is close your mouth. You have the "I'm a white guy who can't dance so I'll stick my tongue out a little while I concentrate" face on.

Your bike would probably fit better if it matched your team kit.

tell me about it, $3000 vaporized right before my eyes.
OP you seem to be holding other riders up, have you tried squirting them in the eyes with your water bottle? I keep lemon juice handy just in case a racer on the MUP gets too close.
