Help with model and price

Hi guys,

I need help from those who understand vintage Peugeot bikes!

I bought a bike from a friend a few years ago and I love her so much but I am going travelling so sadly have to let go of her.

Can you please help me find out the model of the bike is and help me figure out a fair price for her?

It doesn't look like I can post pictures here, so not sure how to proceed...

Thanks a mil, guys!

Get to 10 posts and then you can show pics.

Or list all the components and words on the frame.

Interesting bike. Someone else should pop up with an exact model. But, I don't think it is a terribly expensive bike.

Can you take a clear picture of the tubing decal on the seat tube?

Interesting, indeed, with what looks like forged dropouts and adjusting screws but no front derailleur and with serrated steel rims. I'd guess late '80s-to-early-'90s with that font and the splash decal and probably not costly when new. It really depends on your local market for what used ladies' bikes sell for. Check local listings and price accordingly. Around here it might move quickly at about $100, or not. Good luck!

Closest I've found is the Force 8 from about 1988, with similar construction and features but varies cosmetically. Possibly a different market.

A decent quality "town bike" from the second half of the 80's
It won't be worth lots of money these days. As despite having nice Simplex forged dropouts on the frame, it most likely has basic straight gauge higher tensile seamed steel tubing, plus the plain/basic design of the frame is not as interesting as a mixte frameset.
Not a collectible, but will be great for using as a commuter workhorse or college campus bike.
