anybody have a trek farley ex 8 2017

i have one and i like it after my 3rd use i noticed a dent in the seat tube about 3 inches from the bottom bracket facing the rear wheel. dont know how it could have occured as i didnt hear a loud ping. havent had any since then. i was just looking at some youtube videos and noted dents in the same place in 2 bikes. what would cause it?

i just noted the same dent in multiple videos including bike shop videos where the bike looked unridden. if its part of the design what would it be for and if not is there a flaw in the frame?

for ff up, called trek tech support and supposedly the dent was where they normally would have brazed on a front detailleur.

Yeah, I just noticed this on one I picked up used from a friend of mine who just didnt get into the fat biking. Minimal miles and certainly not from me, I thought CRAP! How does that even happen??

glad to see it is "supposed" to be there.
