Rode my usual 30 mile loop today with one significant climb. Adding a little structure to my riding this week and removing the LSD. Also, without my citified commute, all my rides are close to home and on Vittoria Tubulars. After today's ride, I checked off another item on the Honey Do list--A plumbing job that required but a single trip to Ace👍👍

Following up on post #26 in this thread, the sun was out again yesterday and I felt obliged to take advantage with a 51 mile ride. Pic below taken at my fav coffee spot with a different bike, '86 Tommasini Racing. The blue tubular rims, built up this past winter, saw their first miles today.

Took my RIH camp out for a run to the mill

Sun came out and took my 1983 Rih out for a run to the Cedar Mill and picked up some cedar cuts. Nice heavy loaded pannier bags was a slice to ride with. The extra 50 pounds gives the bike a great momentum forward on the flats. Love that Vitus bike posted here. It was also 1983 when I rep for Vitus Tubing in the UK for 2 years.

Not the cheapest metal either.

No riding, it stormed all thru the night and morning.
Good thing is now that the gremlins know the replacements are coming, their fun is over, They'll leave the solder somewhere obscure that you will eventual trip over.

I’m riding every day at least 2-3 hrs. No teaching, or spinning, for me for awhile so focused on getting out and about, away from Twitter/news, and clearing head. All bikes get ridden but my 2001 Rivendell gets grabbed the most. Perfect weather/traffic in Seattle despite the madness.

I’m out on the Cannondale Criterium Series when it’s sunny 40’s but when a cold air mass moves in I wear heavier clothes and ride Hummer. In this pic it looks like a sunny spring day but the temps were in the 20’s with a frigid wind.

I got in 10 miles yesterday on what is usually empty roads. Yet after seeing only one or two riders a month within ten miles of home for the last five years I am now seeing a couple every day. And all of them over 60??

I started customizing another bike. The mock up is done and the height is low enough. Now to tear it apart for a paint job, add a few things and get my nephew to ride it around on Cinco de Mayo. Then start on a low rider for me., except in a larger size. The mock up is done on it.

Yesterday I cleaned up my Peugeot some after riding it through most of the winter. Grungy for sure. Finally flipped around my backwards bottom bracket, took the fenders off.

Rock N Roll Gold really does a great job on a chain!

Saturday I had a great 15 mile local ride on my '73 Super Course. After what seems like weeks of rain, the wildflowers are starting to pop. This afternoon I swapped out the Eroica ready Campy quills and toe clips to my normal SPDs on my '64 Legnano. If there's no Eroica, why deal with toe clips?

Legnano, ready for Eroica.

No Eroica? Back to the SPDs for everyday riding.

WOW beauty of a work space. Every time I look at mine I tell myself ' I'll just go on the bike for a couple hours then I'll clean it up. That never works.

That looks great. I did a little experimenting on a old set of rusty clips and the only issue I am having is cutting the slot. I have a air die grinder that might do the trick.

I bought an “oldish”, early ‘90’s bike (a recumbent.....please don’t make me leave). It’s got full SunTour with SunTour “grip shifter” & brake lever combos. Research says these babies came out in 1993 as part of a mountain group.

Your beer collection reminds me of The Athenian restaurant in Seattle's Pike Place market ... or what it used to be like. They used to have tons of bottled/canned beer from around the world encased in old timey glass refrigerators. A good chunk of the fun of sitting at the old bar and looking out at Elliott Bay was trying a Moretti, Elephant, or Fullers ESB and appreciating both the beer and the label. A beer can be even more delicious when appreciating and conversing about its label. But now they just have a few ubiquitous bottled beers and several local beers on tap. They had a unique niche market, and now they have only one cool bottled beer, Anchor Steam. I mean, I like Anchor Steam. That's a nice beer and a nice label, but come on... I could enjoy a beer or several in your space for hours while looking at those labels. Which is a good reason to avoid folks like me coming over. We wouldn't want to leave...

I've been watching a lot of Curb Your Enthusiasm lately, and am trying to tap into my inner Larry David. Sorry.
