Shimano GRX 1x Setup - Can I run a 30T 1x chainring on GRX Crank?
Hi All,
Building up a bike with GRX 400 10 speed. Looking to run this as a 1x instead of a 2x. Was curious if I can go very low in the front... like a 30T or 32T or 34T chain ring? Will I have to use an MTB chainring from Shimano?
If so - how does this affect my setup... will my chain be different and etc?

I believe that GRX cranks have an asymmetrical 110BCD bolt pattern for the big ring and 80mm BDC for the inner so you will need to find dedicated GRX rings.
