If it has a cable-actuated FD, it's a '60 or '61, I believe.

Unless it's been re-decaled at some point, the decals are consistent with the LGP. The boss for a lamp on the fork might indicate it's a UK model. In the catalogs Peter Kohler links to, I think that color was a UK-only offering in 1960.

I've owned a few of these over the years. Here's a 1960/61 in grey with a similar decal style:
It came with the original receipt:

I still haven’t done anything, other than swapping out the dried out brake pads. It rides so nice though.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's a safe bet that these Lentons are Nottingham overstock 1958/59 Raleigh Sports frames (which had both the braze-on and the later lugs; '57 had the transition lugs, IIRC) painted with the Lenton scheme. Aside from the paint job, it's a standard Sports frame and matches these years.

I've had two of these, serial numbers ever so close. One was a 59 SW, this one's a 58. Perhaps the dumping of overstocked frames included the newly-redundant SW hubs. They even gave us the useless right hand fork mounts in their haste to dump the frames on the 'colonies' Still, I think it's cool. I traded one to a mechanic friend for a Fisher Montare and kept the other. Sorry for the derailment b dub. You've got some good Raleigh mojo going on.

Oddly, both SW's I've owned have been excellent but I really don't put miles on them. Perhaps they were properly cared for and lubricated by conscientious, previous owners.

Speaking of Supercycle, I have an early 70s gold one as well.
