Hello -MD
I have not ridden in years but looking to a cruiser/trail bike soon. Joined up to hopefully get some info on fixing/tuning bikes for kids off to college. Thanks for listening.

Welcome Nobones, this is a good place to be for information on bikes. I have been a road cyclist for almost 50 years, but I only did basic maintenance on my bikes. In 2017 I started acquiring tools to do the work myself. I joined Bikeforums with one of the reasons being the knowledge available for doing that. The members have been quite generous and helpful in that process. I am slow and I still make mistakes and get frustrated, but usually, I can now cipher out the problem and fix it. One suggestion, when you get your 10 posts in, when you have a problem and are seeking help, try to be as specific as you can, and post pictures that actually show the problem in as much detail as you can. I have learned to help those that want to help me.
