Raleigh Sprite g.s.
Hi! I just bought a used bike and I don't found any information about this item on the internet... Maybe you can help me!
On the frame, the inscription is "Raleigh Sprite G.S.". I searched this information on the web, but I only find some article about 70's model... And clearly, it's a 90's or 00's model.
The "serial number" is : RN4 00664 and it's made in Canada.
Someone can tell me some information about it?
I'm sorry but I can't post any photo because it's my first post and the forum deactivate this feature...
Thank you!

Not saying it's not, but what makes you think it was made in the '90's? The components on it or something? Won't be unusual for an older Raleigh to have somewhat newer stuff put on it.
RN4 is all you got, the other numbers are just sequential for the build.
R = Canada
N= October
4= 1974? 1984? 1994 maybe. Don't know when exactly Raleigh finally bit the dust and that SN system was abandoned. I don't think the current owners of the Raleigh name use that system.
You probably already know about this....... https://www.kurtkaminer.com/TH_raleigh_serials.html
You can upload a photo to the Gallery here at BF. There is a tab for it at the top of the page. Then just let us know it's there.

Raleigh built bikes at its Waterloo Quebec facility from 1973 until 2013. However the Sprite may not have been built there all that time

Thanks for your help. You can see a picture of the bike in the gallery named Raleigh Sprite G.S.
It may be a poor quality bike and no one finds it important to keep information on it!
