Do I have long legs for my height?
I am about 70 1/2 inches tall, and my inseam without shoes is just under 33 1/2 inches.
Do I have long legs for my height? Most people my height seem to have a 32 inch inseam, so i'm assuming mine are longer than average. How do you determine that?

Not particularly, I don’t think. If that is pubic bone height (PBH) and is 47.5% of height, that is not unusual. I’m a bit more toward the long leg side of the distribution: height of 72 inches and PBH of 36.5 inches or 50.7%. But the common range is 3.5 to 4 times head height while total height averages about 7.5 times head height. So the range of 46% to 53% is a pretty common range.

I think I've always been regarded as being proportional. In my youth I was 5'10" with 32 1/2" inseam.

It's not enough for you to worry about. I'm 5'-11" with 34.5" inseam. While longer than some, I don't think it means much other than I can stand over larger vintage bikes more comfortably than others.
For getting in the saddle and riding, the differences still just require you to try on the bike and forget any preconceived idea of your body dimensions.

I am 6’1 and inseam 35” so long legged. When I sit in a chair I am even with my wife who is 5’6. I hate flying because my legs don’t fit in the available space , I have to sit sort sideways.

One of my Minions has the opposite. If I sit in her chair, I feel like I'm sitting on the floor.

Usually, the weight and height norm is determined by calculations using various formulas. However, this is an outdated and time-consuming option.

A pubic bone height of 85 cm is on the high end for an adult male with a height of 179 cm. That's a leg-to-height ratio of 1:2.1. So yes, your legs are longer than average for your height.
My leg-to-height ratio is 88:180, or 1:2.05. Slightly longer legs than yours. I find it nearly impossible to get off-the-rack pants that fit in both the waist and leg.

I'm 73 inches and change with close to a 36 inch cycling inseam. I wear 34 inseam in pants. My legs are fairly long. I was made a touch shorter after my C-0 to c-3 fusion ... damn neurosurgeons.

I’m 68 1/2” (173.99cm) tall. My PBH is 34” (86.36cm) making my cycling inseam just under 1/2 of my overall height. I believe that makes my legs “long” for my height. I have bikes with frames that (using traditional sizing methods) would be considered too large for me but when I set them up there’s plenty of exposed seat post! As I age (I’ll be 70 in September) my height seems to be shrinking but since that is mostly due to vertebral column compression, my leg length (PBH) will be a larger fraction of my total height. Good thing is that my saddle height won’t be changing much. I may have to get some stems with less reach tho .
