Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Every one we get is unique, and no single one replaces any other single one, they just get added to the space, and add to the joy they've all brought. I will say, losing my shadow was very hard, and you all get it. She was just always around, wherever I went, yet never on me. That part is tough.

Either way. End of June it is.

What Mrs. LAJ thinks she's named after.....

But, I like this one better.

Congratulations on your new shadow! They call dobermans velcro dogs, for obvious reasons. Can't get ANYTHING done in the yard when she's out there with you. lol

Went out for a wet ride on the local MUP. Because it was sprinkling it was not too crowded. Most people were not wearing masks, maybe 25% were. I passed a runner (nicely) who was wearing a black bandana mask. He yelled at me as I passed to wear a mask. I said I don’t think cyclists need to. He yelled back something angry but I was too far away to hear. I had to turn around at end of trail, so I was unlucky enough to pass him again. I waved, but he yelled in anger and called me several names that I can’t even say here out of respect for the others, but it was very ugly and unpleasant. I just yelled back “Lighten up Francis!” as it seemed appropriate, although in retrospect obviously I should have said nothing.

Just in case this guy is truly psycho, I changed my strava profile so only followers can see my rides and no one can see me on flyby.

Sigh.

He better not come to the city. Mask wearing seems to be decreasing exponentially every day. And I’m not just talking about people exercising.

I keep losing set screws for the depth stop on a particular pilot hole drill bit. I'm starting to think that they're operating on a printer/ink pricing model.

Our grocery store has gotten so that it's fully back to normal, other than the masks. It is a madhouse with no gloves and no distancing. On the plus side, I was able to grab two small bottles of rubbing alcohol. Pools and gyms are opening up. I'm bracing for the fallout.

Our mayor is instituting a policy requiring face covering in indoor spaces that are open to the public.

I’ve given up on them and been using blue masking tape to do the job. It also acts like a fan and blows away the shavings as it drills down.

speaking of pilot holes, I need to order that reverse countersink with pilot bit.

While re-installing a headbadge a few months ago, I dropped one of the screws three times, and found it almost immediately each time. God was smiling on me.
