I have not ever seen one, but I have heard of them and deduce from comments I have seen that Assenmacher is a desirable find. If it fits, snag it.

Just found this...
https://www.assenmachers.com/
Matt Assenmacher trained at the internationally known Bob Jackson Cycles in Leeds, England in the early 1970's. Under the guidance of master frame builder Danny Foster, he learned the traditional English frame building skills and design practices.
In 1974, the original Assenmacher bicycle frame shop was set up in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. In 1977 the frame shop was moved to Swartz Creek, Michigan and a full-service retail bicycle shop selling Schwinn bicycles was added. During the late 1980’s through the early 2000’s the company expanded to three locations in Genesee County.
Today we have consolidated all operations to a large single retail and repair shop featuring Trek and Specialized bicycles at 1272 West Hill Rd. in Mundy Township. Come visit us at our beautiful brick and mortar retail bicycle show room. Our location on Hill Road, in Mundy Township, has easy access to I-75, I-475 and U.S. 23 expressways.
We feel that our strong staff, history, location, facilities and brands will allow us to help you with all of your cycling needs.

Buy it. I don't have one, but have been to his shop and had him do repairs/repaints on a couple my bikes. His repairs are great, his paint acceptable and reasonably priced. He's a nice guy, FWIW.

Looks bigger to me than a 57. But maybe its just the frame pump making me think that.

If it's a 50-52cm, trust me, you don't want it. I'll just gladly contact the seller, purchase it myself, and then it will be of no one's concern anymore.....

Good rare find. I'd snag it if I were you.

I have seen a few, clean workmanship.
Domed stay ends on the examples I have seen, just never caught my attention.

Matt Assenmacher bicycles
I hired Matt to replace all of the clamp on cable guides with braze-ons on my 1973 Raleigh Pro years ago. He did a wonderful job and repainted to match the original blue mink and silver colors. I still have the bike. Brazed on water bottle mounts, under bottom bracket cable routing, top tube brake cable housing holders, chain stay derailleur cable casing stop, chain hanger boss on the seat stay above the rear drop out, down tube shifter bosses. I am the original owner of the bike and rode it on many Bicycle Rides Across Nebraska until about 2004. Birds mouth (Bocama?) lungs, Carlton Workshop production bike. Campy stuff.
