Older Campy Record vs. Sram Force
I am not sure if this is the best forum for this question, but I was wondering if anyone had just a general comparison between the older 10 speed Campagnolo Record group, like 2005ish, and the newer Sram Force? I am building up a new frame for this season and have the force group, but found an amazing deal on a full record groupset and was thinking of swapping over. I like Sram, but have just heard so much about Campy that I was thinking of giving it a try. I was also wondering if anyone knew where I could find the whole record groupsets weight? The Sram Force is listed online at just over 2000 grams and was just wondering if the Record group is lighter or heavier?

It's really personal preference. If you do switch to Campy, you'll need:
1) A new rear wheel
2) or a Campy freehub for your existing wheel
3) or a conversion cassette such as American Classic or Ambrosio.
It would be best to try a Campy setup first if possible.

Well it actually comes with wheels so I wouldn't have to worry about the hubs or anything...I was mainly wondering if anyone knew which was lighter or if there were any durability issues...

I have a 2006 Campy Chorus 10-speed group on one bike (Record w/o the snob appeal
) with almost 19,000 miles and am very happy with it. No problems in all of that time. As to a used group, be sure the Ergo brifters still work well. They can be rebuilt and I believe parts are still available but it isn't particularly cheap to have the work done.
Total weight difference? Probably insignificant. SRAM's Force isn't their lightest or most sophisticated group and Record was Campy's.
