Roam 3 Disc 2019 Vs Escape 2 Disc 2020 vs Haanjo 1

I think I've finalized my choice to these 3 hybrid bikes, my budget was under $600, however don't know if there is any biggest difference between them. Here are the links for all 3:

Escape 2 Disc-https://www.giant-bicycles.com/us/escape-2-disc-2020

The Roam 3 has a telescoping fork. I don't need that. Adds weight. It's also a 3x8. I don't personally care for a 3x drivetrain.

The Haanjo is a 1x drivetrain. I'd prefer 10 or 11 speed cassette if it's going to be a 1x. (The Haanjo is 9 speed).

The Escape 2 is a 2x. It also appears to have hydraulic disk brakes instead of mechanical, which I prefer. And it has tubeless wheels and tires.

Myself, I'd take the Escape 2.

The Diamondback Haanjo 1 is cheapest at $470 and has the highest level derailleurs(though its debatable if that matters). The gearing is most limited with a 38/36 stock bailout ratio. Brakes are entry level branded cable disc.
The Giant Escape 2 is $110 more at $580 and uses pretty entry level derailleurs. But the crank/drivetrain is nice for varied terrain, and it has hydraulic brakes(though entry level).

Those are the differences between the two, for the most part. The rest of each bike is mostly just generic house branded components that will be entry level(especially the wheels on both).
So do the differences above help sway you one way or the other? If not, do you like the look of one more than the other?...gray or black, I guess.

I'd go with the Haanjo or Escape.

I think it is really a toss up, but one factor to consider is whether the 1x9 drivetrain on the Haanjo has enough range for you and where you live. Personally, for my commuter and urban bike, 1x9 with a similar gearing is fine, and I like keeping it simple on an urban bike.

As far as brakes, mechanical vs dirt cheap hydro is also a toss up, but on an urban bike I would probably go with mechs. But others would choose the cheap hydros.

Tubeless is plus.... if you plan to set it up that way.
