52cm 50cm Mercier steel lugged 10 speed - $190

Have a nice white and black lugged Mercier bicycle. The frame is white and it has black lugs. It is a 52/50cm frame (at least gives a frame of reference). I'm about 5'8 and it fits me just fine – inseam is 30”. It has these sweet graphics of a guy winning a race pumping his fist in the air – pretty cool. It is in ok shape – not fantastic, but I think a little hose down and degreaser – it would quite good. All parts look original and would either look good cleaned up – or used as a base frame to build on. Has Mafac brakes, downtube shifters and a simplex derailleur. It is a solid bike – would be very nice cleaned up.

This is an early '50s French constructeur-style bike. My research shows that it was made in Bordeaux for former Tour winner Roger Lapebie's shop. It's in pretty good condition considering it's age. The rear derailleur is an early band-spring huret. Brakes are a very nice set of CLB calipers and guidonnet levers. It's deserving of a full restoration, but I can't give it the attention that it deserves. Price is $300 firm.
