As much as I don't want to sell this 17.5 inch 1988 Stumpy, its just sitting in wait and deserves to get out on the trails again. I bought this last spring, broke it down, cleaned it, trued the wheels, lubed everything and repacked the bottom bracket in hopes of riding it much more, but no such luck. Functionally, this thing is nearly perfect but as you can see from the photos, it has plenty of chainslap and some scrapes...but, what do you expect from a 25 year old mountain bike? The geometry of this bike (and the fact you can throw racks on it) lends itself to being a great touring bike. Additionally, the great thing about the 1988 Stumpjumper is that it is a truly unique model as it is the only year with the u-brake (on its way out) and the Biopace crankset (on its way in). Everything is original to the bike, but the rear derailleur was replaced with an LX model from around 1992 and, even though the tires are Ground Controls, I believe these to be of the same era of the derailleur. I know this isn't everybody's cup of tea, but feel free to shoot me an email with questions or if you want any other photos.

Ironman Centurion - $125 (Eastlake)



We've narrowed down the origin of this CroMo framed road bike to 1986-88. It's been quite a world traveler, off to Thailand, Japan, and a few other places before settling down here.

Cool yellow aero-ish bars, friction shifters, mid-to-high Shimano components. It rides smooth and comes with a spare pair of tires when these get old.

I dunno, it's a steel-framed 700c road bike from the late 80s. Good quality, or it wouldn't have lasted this long.

This bike is all original except the tires. It is in great condition! The front tire is new, but the back tire is old and may need to be replaced. there is very little rust and has been garage kept. The three speed needs to be adjusted, but works. The brakes are good and it has new brake pads. the rear reflector is broken. This bike is a classic. Whether you want to ride it as is or make it into a hot rod it is a beautiful bike.
