Westcycle - MTB Development Officer Sought
WestCycle and the WA Mountain Bike Association (WAMBA) are looking for a hard working professional with excellent project management skills for the position of Mountain Bike Development Officer.
WestCycle is the peak body for cycling in Western Australia. WestCycle operates at a strategic level to lead and coordinate the development and growth of all forms of cycling in WA.
WAMBA is the trail advocacy and co-ordination body for mountain biking in WA. WAMBA acts as a resource for clubs looking for help on trail advocacy and grants and co-ordinates the mountain bike racing calendar.
As Mountain Bike Development Officer your key responsibilities will include managing key stakeholder feedback to the draft WA Mountain Bike Strategy, providing organisational support to WAMBA, project managing the development of a trails planning guide and assisting with the project management of regional mountain bike master plans. To be considered you will have a sound knowledge of mountain biking and the key issues impacting upon trail development in Western Australia. You will also have previous project management experience and high-level written communication skills.
The position is full-time for a fixed 6-month term. Prospects for renewal are dependent upon ongoing funding. A salary of $70K per annum (pro-rata) plus superannuation is on offer.
