I figured it was about time this thread was bumped.
Here's my new bike that was a long time in the making, Sante Equipped Kenevans.

Hi Ozneddy,
I haven't seen that brand before. It looks like an Aussie frame with a heavy Italian influence. Where was it made?
Nuovo Record bits and pieces set it off nicely. The Brooks Pro. is a nice touch. My guess is that it is an early 80's frame but with a later model stem.

Hi Ozneddy,
Casati! South Aust. It does look Italian - it has bling. The position of the seat stays being attached to the cluster bolt lugs is a little different. I wonder if it is a feature on Casati frames of that era?
Colnago and DeRosa used to build with 531 although your frame does look to be built well past the time those two builders were using 531. Is it an Italian bottom bracket?
Re the stem: I didn't think ITM and Cinelli would fit together as they use different sizes. I reckon a Cinelli 1A or 1R stem would suit the frame and bars better. Perhaps you are considering that too.
I have heard of Protour but know nothing about them. The photos will be great to see.
I bet the Abeni will be nice to ride.

Ah - ha. So that's a Protour. I like the paint scheme. Double eyelets on the rear dropout suggest that it could easily be set up with panniers and a rack for a short tour, etc.
Did it come with a Campagnolo water bottle to go with the bottle cage?
Those cranks always remind me of early mag wheels you may have seen on a hotted-up FJ or Customline, etc. The two tone paint scheme also fits the Customline theme.
How many bikes do you have now?

Hi rebelcontender,
The Kenevans looks super clean and also looks to have the main components of a c-record era Chorus groupset. I really like the crank shape and the callipers too.
I'm very interested in your Berretto. Looks to be a really nice frame with some interesting features. The paint scheme is great and the chromework is the icing on the cake. You'll have to post photos when you build it up.
A Master Sports, Terry Davey and the old steel bike sounds like you have a good collection.
Thanks for the photos,
Gary.

Gentlemen,
the red Abeni caught my eye. This Abeni Triathlon has been hanging in my garage for a few years, waiting for someone small (and pink!) enough to ride it. Came with a full set of Gran Sport, Cinelli bars and stem, and Ambrosio rims. I'm guessing it's Columbus - but stand to be corrected. He was a good builder John Abeni, wasn't he?
Regards
Jeff

Hi jeffieh,
Yes, the Abeni do seem to be well built. Is this bike yours from new? You seem to know the heritage of the marque. The new Granport is an interesting feature as it doesn't seem to turn up all that often in the forum.
Ozneddy must be hard at work because he would be all over your bike usually.
Gary.
