Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

No idea, but I’ve had Brie almost every meal for the last 2 weeks.

Weld County schools are open today, which is dumb. And on delay because of the snow. Delayed on a holiday.

I think that someone in the club is secretly trying to fatten up @datlas to keep him from slipping away on the climbs.

When Brie gets overripe, it can display a strong ammonia odor. I have no idea where that comes from.

Allegedly comes from enzymatic degradation of proteins in the cheese. That's what google says.

Maybe I’ve told this story. Dunno. At Princeton commencement (combined undergrad and grad) the Salutatorian gives an address in Latin. But it is all a joke. Some language professor helps the speaker put it all together. Basically it is a recounting of the events of the school year with references to the arts, sports teams, etc. The graduates have programs with cues where they should laugh, applaud, boo, etc. The parents and guests don’t have the cues. So they are all amazed that all the graduates understand so much Latin. It is a hoot. Or maybe you just have to be there to get it.

I had no idea Weld was open today. Go figure. Those are the mutts that wanted to secede from Colorado, and become part of Nebraska.

Just got home from a morning out of a former life. Chainsaw, weedeater, machete, and moving the pieces into a couple piles. I think there will be no bike ride today. Felt great though.
