Disagree. Just look at the tdf since it's going on right now. The stage to Gap (stage 17) was a realtively flat day, but still had a lot of elevation gain. ~46kph average over 200k. I'm sure the last hour was much faster.

Or if you want even faster. Go to the last hour of a sprint stage. Here is Wout Van Aert's win on stage 10. I zoomed to the last 20 minutes (sine it seems to be the topic at hand). Average speed >50kph. https://www.strava.com/activities/25...is/16893/18060

Paris Roubaix routinely averages over 45kph for five hours. 30mph for an hour wouldn't be anything special for these guys.

I wanted point to point to cancel out both the wind and elevation. Turning 30mph on Paris Roubaix on the final stretch is something, just not the same as holding it for 20 min as a group on a closed loop.
When I see the WT pros jump in crits, as I have half a dozen times, they are pack fill.
