Retinal Tears!
The other day while working at the bike shop I started to get some "fliaters" I n my left eye. Then it started to become more and more. So after a call to the eye dicdoc my wife picked me up and off we went. After a complete exam she sent me to a Retinal center where they did a further exsm followed by a bit if if kaser surgery. Apparently I got 2 small tears that they "spot welded" with a laser. Will be back there for a follow-up in a day or two. The doc thinks this will take care of things andvitcwas caught before there was a detachment. Which is a lot of recovery.
What a week!!

Central Serous Retinopathy. Came out of nowhere at work 20 years ago. A tear in the back of my eye, and fluid leaked into the central part of my vision. Scared the hell out of me. A retina specialist cauterized the tear with a laser, the fluid cleared, and my vision went back to normal. No known cause, just happens.

How old are you? I am 65 and had the same symptoms and retinal tear in my left eye. Both eyes did this in a period of 3 months after cataract surgery. The right eye did not develop a tear.
