Good luck. Here's to a speedy recovery. I have plantar fasciitis and about the only time my foot doesn't bother me is on the bike. But then my shoes are rigid so no stretching those tendons.

I had a severe case of Haglund's Deformity, a heel spur behind the achilles tendon. Pedaling was unbearable. Turns out, the heel spur had been cutting my achilles tendon, less than 25% was left intact when my podiatrist decided to operate. Some kevlar fiber and a new anchor drilled in my heel, and all has been well for nearly 20 months. Too bad I sprained my other ankle, and have a failing right knee. I too have the attitude, get it over with, planning knee replacement in Dec...

I feel all of frustrations you guys have dealt with I was at the padiatris today and I have a traitors bunion to sweeten the deal and a crack fissure. Then I didn’t have a referral from my PCP luckily I got that on the phone. I never had to have referral before the clerk at the PCP office I went to later to jump through another hoop said they all do this now. They even hired a full time employee to deal with referrals. So surgery Friday and 4 months of nothing but recovering good thing there is cold beer within limits
