Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

If that's what we are talking about, then I've seen the movie (in German: 'Hollentour - Die Tour der Helden'). The documentary mainly focuses on two T-Mobile riders: the sprinter Erik Zabel and the domestique Rolf Aldag, giving some good insight as to the hardships involved in riding the Tour de France. It's pretty straightforward: race clippings and interviews.

I enjoyed watching it; but I am obsessed with the sport. If you're not, it's very well possible that you won't be so impressed by 'Hell on Wheels'.

G'day,

it's just opened here in Oz.....excellent doco....superb production values etc. Its rare for our sport to get on 'the big screen' so I made the most of it. Highly recommended for those that are fanatical about this sport (& isn't that most of us)......mind you, you seppo's probably won't think much of it.....not much Lance!

RESULT.....
great flik...! my girlfriend even enjoyed it, but of course mentioned it was a little extended..!! ha ha she thought 90 mins would have been perfect.

i think the reason for that was.... the film MELTED halfway through, the screen went all blurry then... nuthin....
took them half an hour to fix it..!!!!!!

Doesnt Oz have a different format for DVD's than the US? or was that only for Video Cassettes? My wife has a bunch of Paul Hogan show tapes and stuff like that, but our VCR wont play them properly.

If the DVD will play over here, can one of you chaps mail me one if i send you the funds?
